Christmas in the Commons


Save the date!
The Town of Wilkesboro will usher in the holiday season on Saturday, December 3rd with “Christmas in the Commons,” a festivecelebrationfrom4:00–8:00pm in Historic Downtown Wilkesboro. 

As the Wilkes County Christmas Parade travels through Downtown Wilkesboro,“ Christmas in the Commons” will kick-off an evening of fun for the entire family. Food trucks will open on North Bridge Street at 3:30pm.The line-up includes Cousins Maine Lobster, Copper Barrel Brew Haus, Wingz On Wheelz, The HotDog Boy, Suck It Up Milkshake Co., Duck Donuts, and The Kettle Corn Man. 

Starting at 4:00 pm, fun and festive Christmas events will fill the Carolina West Wireless Community Commons and Heritage Square. Kids of all ages will be able to enjoy music and a photo booth put on by On Target DJ, as well as axe throwing put on by The Backyard Ninja. Make sure you do not miss a special visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus starting at 5:30 pm! 

During the event, stroll through downtown and experience a winter wonderland of snowflakes and icicles while shopping with downtown merchants and artisan vendors! 

At 7 pm, the community is invited to gather for the lighting of the Heritage Square Christmas Tree in front of the Wilkes Heritage Museum! Mayor Inscore will be on hand to deliver season's greetings. There will be a Holiday Laser Show once the sun has set.
