Christmas in the Commons

The Town of Wilkesboro will usher in the holiday season on Saturday, December 2nd with “Christmas in the Commons,” a festive celebration from 4:00–8:00 pm in Historic Downtown Wilkesboro.
As the Wilkes County Christmas Parade travels through Downtown Wilkesboro,“ Christmas in the Commons” will kick-off an evening of fun for the entire family. Food trucks will open on North Bridge Street at 3:30pm.
Starting at 4:00 pm, fun and festive Christmas events will fill the Carolina West Wireless Community Commons and Heritage Square. Kids of all ages will be able to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus starting at 5:30 pm!
During the event, stroll through downtown and experience a winter wonderland of snowflakes and icicles while shopping with downtown merchants and artisan vendors!
At 7 pm, the community is invited to gather for the lighting of the Heritage Square Christmas Tree in front of the Wilkes Heritage Museum!
