PUBLIC NOTICE OF SIU Wasterwater Permit Violations
The Town of Wilkesboro, in accordance with Federal and State regulations, is here by giving Public Notice. There were three active Significant Industrial Users (SIUs) in 2025 and none were place in Significant Noncompliance during either 6 month period.
All SIUs collaborated closely with the Town of Wilkesboro to focus on maintaining adequate processes for treatment and achieved permit compliance during 2025. We will continue to focus on effective operations and suitable permit limits that ensures a successful pretreatment program for the Town and the local industries.
